Press Release
Indianapolis, IN (April 2, 2007) - TechPoint will host the 2007 TechPoint Mira Awards Gala with presenting sponsor, BKD LLP, a top ten CPA and advisory firm, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom on Friday, May 18th. This year’s Awards have grown in scope and size, receiving a record 79 nominations from across the state in 12 categories. New categories for 2007 include Gazelle Company awards for each industry and a new Education Contribution to Technology award for K-12 educators.
The annual Mira Awards acknowledge and pay tribute to the top performers, innovators, and contributors in technology-related industries. Nearly 1,000 key decision-makers from business, government, and academia will gather at the Mira Awards Gala to celebrate Indiana's technology community and their innovations.
Three independent panels of judges, made up of business and community leaders, were tasked with evaluating the 79 Mira Awards nominations, nearly double the number of nominations in previous years, in a total of twelve specific categories.
“TechPoint is proud to announce the 2007 Mira Awards nominees. Each nominee has advanced Indiana’s economy, brought global attention to the state, and raised the quality of life for all Hoosiers,” said Jim Jay, TechPoint President and CEO.
